Acest controler PCI Express exinde sistemul PC cu 3 porturi externe RS 232 precum si cu un port TTL 3.3 V / RS-232. Diferite dispozitive cum ar fi: gateway, plottere, imprimante, line extender, dongle, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), controllere etc. se pot conecta la acest controler. Dispozitivele conectate se pot alimenta suplimentar cu 5V sau 12V.

Folosind bracketii low profile, cardul PCI Express se poate monta intr-un mini PC. 

5 V sau 12 V se pot seta individual pentru fiecare port prin intermediul jumperului (pin 1 sau 9).
